The lessons I learned from 3 Idiots

That was a rainy day. It was a weekend and as usual, there's nothing I could do but to watch movies. Movie Marathon has always been my cousin and I's hobby. That day, we picked something different. A bollywood film. It was a film that I heard a thousand times.A film so recommended by many. A film that I have yet discovered the beauty. On my uncle's pile of pirated HD dvd movies, there it was. The movie has a yellow background with three men on it -

3 IDIOTS.

Some movies are vague in my memory, but not this one.

I could still remember that day. I could still remember that it was raining hard and that we had to turn the volume up so we can hear the movie. I could still remember that we had a coffee and a chips on our side. We chilled.

The movie taught me many lessons that are quite impossible to say or write on this blog. But there are some that I can share.

Before I watched 3 idiots, I believed that Life is a race. The ones who will go to the finish line first will be the most succesful. But my belief was wrong. 3 idiots taught me that life is no race.

It doesn't matter if you go last or first, what matters is what you learned, how you learned and how you will apply it.

The movie showed me that no one else can decide on your fate but YOU. No one can stop you from your happiness. Follow your heart, do what you want.

Rancho, who is one of the three idiots, taught ME and his friends Raju (a man that is too worried for the future that he forgot about the present ) and Farhan (whose passion is Photography but is pursuing Engineering) what is the essence of life, that life is not a joke, that we should not be afraid, that we should live our lives now and follow our hearts.

It showed me what real friendship is. Real friendship is when one does not show for 10 years, but you will still try hard to find him. Your love for your friend still remains and it will never last. You are capable of doing anything for your friends. You will teach your friends and you will let them teach you too. Friendship has flaws, but despite of that, you will still love each other.

The movie made me guffaw a thousand times, even though I've watched it for like 10 times.

IT IS GOLD.

The movie was so loooooong. But I never knew that it was long until I looked at the time. It lasted for 3 hours.

I am certain that those 3 hours was not put into waste because it touched my heart, made me cry, made me laugh and.... it taught me many things.
